Medical Director of the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and a consultant in rehabilitation psychiatry for Lambeth services.

Chair of the Professional Governance and Ethics Committee of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the predecessor committee overseeing the publication of Good Psychiatric Practice 2000 and 2004.

David Roy provides both mentoring and coaching, mainly to consultant psychiatrists within the NHS.
