Learning outcomes

 

By the end of this module, we hope you will be able to:

 

  • diagnose eating disorders in children and young people and assess risk

 

  • assess the impact of eating disorders on growth and development

 

  • formulate physical, systemic and developmental factors in the aetiology of an eating disorder

 

  • recognise factors in the assessment that need to be addressed in management

 

  • consider the way in which motivation and the developmental stage influence assessment

 

  • consider consent and confidentiality in relation to assessment.
