Professor Dogra is involved in a wide variety of teaching and training events in undergraduate and postgraduate education at local and national levels. She has also worked internationally with institutions in the US, Canada, Nigeria, South Africa and India in developing and evaluating educational programmes related to diversity or mental health. Her research interests include cultural diversity training for health care and other relevant professionals, effective methods of training, evaluation of training and young people’s perceptions of mental health services. She is involved in research exploring how young people’s perspectives of culture and ethnicity may impact on their mental health. Her clinical areas of interest include adolescents and the use of systemic practice beyond family therapy.
