Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this module, we hope that you will be
able to:
- realise the size and frequency of psychiatric problems in
Parkinson's disease and their impact on patients' and carers'
quality of life
- identify psychiatric phenomena in Parkinson’s disease with
greater confidence
- ascertain the effects of treatments for Parkinson’s disease on
the patient's mental state
- have a better understanding of the pathophysiology of
psychiatric phenomena in Parkinson’s disease
- feel more confident in the management of the most common
psychiatric and cognitive problems associated with Parkinson’s
disease.
