Dr Mahalinggapa has a Diploma in
Psychiatry (NIMHANS, India 2004). Her specialist interests include
the psychiatry of HIV medicine, haematology and palliative
medicine. She is involved with research, looking at the social
cognitions and behavioural symptoms of patients with Huntington’s
disease. Her clinical practice includes transcultural psychiatry
and the phenomenology of schizophrenia in India.

practice in Birmingham since 2003. Prior to this he
was a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry at the Queen Elizabeth
Psychiatric Hospital in Birmingham.
He is an active part-time mental health tribunal member. His
special interests are psychiatry and the heart, clinical
psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
