Sridevi Sira Mahalingappa, DPM, MRCPsych

Dr Sridevi Sira MahalingappaST5 in general adult psychiatry, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and is due to obtain her CCT in August 2012.

 

Honorary clinical lecturer and academic programme coordinator for the medical school curriculum at the University of Birmingham.

 

Dr Mahalinggapa has a Diploma in Psychiatry (NIMHANS, India 2004). Her specialist interests include the psychiatry of HIV medicine, haematology and palliative medicine. She is involved with research, looking at the social cognitions and behavioural symptoms of patients with Huntington’s disease. Her clinical practice includes transcultural psychiatry and the phenomenology of schizophrenia in India.

Dr Patrick O'BrienLecturer in Psychiatry, University of Birmingham.

 

Consultant Psychiatrist in Independent Practice, Birmingham.

 

Dr O'Brien has been a consultant psychiatrist in independent practice in Birmingham since 2003. Prior to this he was a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry at the Queen Elizabeth Psychiatric Hospital in Birmingham.

 

He is an active part-time mental health tribunal member. His special interests are psychiatry and the heart, clinical psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
