Module introduction

By the end of this module, we hope you will:

 

  • understand the key differences between ICD-10 and DSM-5 when diagnosing ASD

     

  • know the diagnostic features of ASD

     

  • understand the importance of an informant and of a childhood history

     

  • be aware of how features of autism differ over ability level, age and gender

     

  • know of sources for structuring a diagnostic assessment.
